Groundworks Foundation Repair Boston runs out of Plainville and gets called for the kind of foundation trouble a homeowner can't ignore — a sinking slab, a cracked bulkhead seam, a basement that's suddenly taking on water. Across 2,005 Google ratings it holds 4.7 stars, and Angi puts it at 4.3 from 317 reviews; BBB grades it A+. Several long-time customers describe it as the outgrowth of two locally familiar names — Basement Technologies/Busy Dog and, before that, Rescon — now folded into the Groundworks brand. What stands out across hundreds of reviews is how much customers remember the crew by name: Zaven Torigian walks people through every benchmark he checks on an annual sump-pump visit; Archie has serviced the same French drain system for one homeowner since 2018 and gets requested by name; Josh and Dylan's crack-repair work on a foundation-leveling job drew praise for matching the concrete's actual color instead of the bright-white filler shown in the company's TV commercial. The leveling and crack-repair jobs — a sinking slab, a cracked pool apron spanning 2,000 square feet — get described in real technical detail. There's a real seam worth knowing about, though: several 2026 reviews describe work stalling out after the deposit is in. One customer says an exterior portion of an install was left unfinished for months after the interior work wrapped in February; another says a project quoted for a December finish slipped to March with multiple teams sent out; a third reports the job was never completed at all after the invoice was paid and says flatly not to pay until the work is done. Smaller but real: one reviewer says a repair created a new water leak with a two-week wait for a fix, another cites four missed or late appointments before a deposit was taken, and a third couldn't get a receipt for over a week despite calling the corporate office. A 2026 review also recalls a foundation seam fix from around 2023, back when the business operated as Rescon, that reportedly didn't hold. None of that erases the volume of specific, detailed praise for the day-to-day maintenance and installation crews — it's worth asking, before signing, exactly what the payment schedule looks like and getting a firm date in writing for any exterior or follow-up portion of the job.
Zac was amazing about explaining the entire process and costs of our basement waterproofing and crawl space sealing. Mickey Snip, Joey Hanley and Burphy Sorbs did an excellent job with the actual job of waterproofing and sealing of our basement and crawl spaces. I highly recommend this team.
I have a concrete slab for a foundation, sinking horribly. These guys came out and did a excellent job of leveling it all out. Friendly, professional, and quite knowledgeable. Very fair pricing. Definitely give these guys a shot. Highly recommend.
All the workers were very efficient came for 12 done by 4 with clean up as well! Very polite and professional. House is on a slab and the front of the house foundation was failing so they came to our rescue! 🤣
I wanted to leave the review that I previously gave to a company that is now just delaying an issue that needs to be corrected ASAP. I have now been getting the run around for 2 weeks!!! I am fuming! See attached video of the water I am getting in my basement! I paid this company to correct the issue instead they installed a basin right in the area of the water creating more water! You would think I and this issue would be treated with urgency but obviously after receiving their review and money as a customer I am put on the backburner. This is awful service and I truly hope they resolve this swiftly and amicably!! As of now nothing is top notch of their service as I previously mentioned. See below. "I had the greatest experience with a young group of worked that just amazed me so much I have to mention their names!! Mikah Ramos, Mickey Snip and Joey Hanley thank you for doing awesome work on my property!! If I were a millionaire I would have given $100,000 tips!! Continue being great and delivering top notch service"
No show no call on day of repair. After 4 different cancelations or late arrival for the quote. Horrible, of course now they have a deposit and no communication. Apparently they replied, which I cant find and said theyd reach out, so set up another appointment and no show no call again!!!
