Handy Dandies

Handy Dandies customers describe rebuilding porches, renewing interiors and returning for bathroom renovations. One July 2026 customer needed an old porch, stairs and railings replaced. They said the team listened to their ideas, discussed materials, supplied a detailed estimate and a contract with dates and price, then finished on schedule and within that price. The customer also praised the tidy job site. Bathroom work appears in several accounts. A June 2026 reviewer described a bathroom with a sloping floor and dry rot; the customer said the job, including mildew removal and painting, took two business days and stayed on time and at the quoted price. An April 2026 reviewer described replacement flooring throughout the house, subfloor repairs, quarter round and custom barn doors, then updated their review to praise a bathroom remodel completed in spring 2026. A March 2025 customer also praised kitchen and bathroom remodeling, interior-door replacement and baseboard trim. Older homes have brought a different mix of tasks. In December 2025, a customer with a 130-plus-year-old Victorian in Bellows Falls credited Ashley with business communication and Spencer and Joshua with day-to-day work involving plaster repair, sheetrock, painting preparation, painting and floor refinishing. A November 2024 reviewer said the crew removed old plaster ceilings, replaced them with drywall and painted rooms upstairs, cleaning up daily. The work also extends outdoors. A May 2025 child-care centre reviewer described removal of an old ramp and railing, replacement of rotted porch boards and new steps to the porch and playground. The reviewer said the centre stayed open during construction and praised communication, price and timely completion. A November 2024 customer described a stockade fence installation and deck repairs. Google gives Handy Dandies 5 stars from 24 ratings. Its website advertises free estimates and says the business has 10 years in operation. Recent reviewers continue to describe clear communication and follow-through: the July porch customer praised responsive planning, while a June 2026 customer said they would call again after a porch repair and painting job.
