Handyman and JB Painting is a three-person Gloucester outfit run by Juan Velasquez, and the most telling account of it comes from a property owner who wrote in May 2023 that he had been using Juan and his team for almost three years and then listed nine different jobs they had done for him: weekly maintenance including power-washing and grass, repairing severe water damage, building paver patios, a major landscaping project, season opening and close-down, a basement clean-out and furniture move, an outdoor shower enclosure, and the annual plantings. He described them as professional, reliable and flexible on scheduling. The painting side draws the same kind of repeat business. In January 2023 a customer had the kitchen and three bedrooms decorated and called it a perfect job, friendly and well priced. Reviewers on the Better Business Bureau describe coming back for interior and exterior work across more than one home, and one notes that the solid-colour stain used on their exterior is durable but does need restoring in time as weather and sun take their toll. The business is rated A+ by the BBB without being accredited, and both Angi and HomeAdvisor note that Spanish is spoken. Be careful with the tenure claims: the BBB records a business started in April 2019 and incorporated in August 2020, seven years, while Angi advertises 21 years of experience and HomeAdvisor 26. Ask directly how long the company has been trading, and — since the whole written record here is five reviews from 2023 — ask for two recent local references before you book.
