Hart's Roofing is a Canterbury roofing contractor that says it has served Canterbury and the surrounding Connecticut communities for over 25 years. Its website lists Canterbury, Tolland, Windham, New London, Middlesex and Hartford as its service area, and the company describes itself as a family-owned, CertainTeed Master Craftsman–certified team doing roof installations and full replacements. On Google it holds 5 stars from 28 ratings. A 2022 customer facing a roof with two layers after 60 years chose Hart's after Romeo quoted a lot less than three other roofers, and wrote that they stripped off both layers of shingles, installed a ridge vent, ice shield, flashing and new shingles, and "recapped" the chimney. That 2022 customer added that 8 months later there were no leaks. A 2024 customer had new shingle roofs installed on both of their houses and said Romeo's estimates were significantly lower than the multiple estimates they had obtained. A 2023 customer said the company replaced old skylights with new ones and replaced the gutters with leaf guards, completing the entire job in one day; that 2023 customer described Romeo Hart as professional and accommodating. A 2023 customer said their roof was done in 4 hours with all debris cleaned up. A 2024 customer said the job started at 7am and was finished and cleaned up by 4pm. A 2022 customer wrote that Romeo, the owner, inspected a detached garage roof and the flashing on the house roof and made recommendations for repair. A 2025 customer said Romeo and his crew "even added some extras that will make it easier for the siding guys to complete their job." The work goes past roofs, too: a 2024 customer said Nick Gaudet and his crews completed a second-floor deck with railings, and that Harts could handle both the decking and the roof work.
Excellent communication! Excellent professionalism! Excellent workmanship! Romeo is fantastic! and Jacob and his team crushed the job! Looks phenomenal! And left my property pristine before they left the site! Perfect! Ty Harts roofing!
Excellent work, on time, cleaned up and left cleaner than before the job! Well priced, high quality workmanship.
We had a number of quotes from other local roofers. My husband and I are so glad that we chose Romeo and his very meticulous and professional crew. Definitely would recommend his company to all my friends and family. Romeo and his crew were prompt and respectful to my husband and I. Thanks again for a great job !!
I had quotes from a number of other roofers, and Harts was the one I selected, and I'm glad I did. I found the industry to be very sleazy, but Romeo and his crew were the best. They had high integrity, did excellent work, and were polite and hardworking; they did a tremendous job on my wife's home. They even added some extras that will make it easier for the siding guys to complete their job!
Professional family friendly and military friendly business. Does good work at a fair price.
