Harvest Sun Solar is a Vineyard Haven solar installer working Martha's Vineyard, and the fact reviewers keep coming back to is that the owner lives on the island and can show up on short notice. The company holds an active Massachusetts home improvement contractor registration (license 207433, held by Harvest Sun Solar, Inc), carries an A+ grade with the Better Business Bureau without being accredited, and reports about ten years in business. Its listings describe residential and commercial solar installation, battery storage, solar canopies and pergolas, solar shingles and system maintenance. The written record is small and dated: four Angi reviews, all five stars, running from 2017 to 2020. In a 2020 review, a homeowner who had called four references described Harvest Sun as "what you see is what you get," noting the only change from the original proposal was adding an EV-charger feature to the inverter at their own request. Another 2020 reviewer called the company competitive on price and always available from start to finish. A 2018 customer who had compared several island solar options praised reliable, professional work and the short-notice availability that comes with an island-based installer, and a 2017 reviewer credited Sean with listening and translating ideas into construction. The things to know before calling are about the age of that record rather than anything a customer flagged: the newest written account is from May 2020, so ask for recent island installations you can look at, and confirm the current battery and canopy offerings the directory listings describe. Angi and HomeAdvisor both show a 5.0 from four ratings, but those are the same listing mirrored on two sites, not eight separate customers. Harvest Sun looks like the right call for a Vineyard homeowner who wants a licensed, locally based installer for rooftop solar or storage and values quick follow-up over a large crew. Confirm the license is current for your job, ask for references from the last year or two, and get the proposal scope in writing, since past customers valued that the price held.
Harvest Sun Solar was great to work with and very competitive in the market. They were always available from start to finish and would highly recommend them.
I was looking for a local installer for my solar project. Selecting Harvest Sun was easy after contacted four references. Harvest Sun is â what you see is what you getâ . The only price change from the original proposal was the addition of EV charger feature to the inverter. My project took six months because the location of my house required multiple hearings from local boards. Sean helped us throughout the hearing process until we obtained the permit. He is also responsive in adjusting his work crew schedule so we can complete the project in 2019. Harvest Sun did all the necessary â paperâ works for us, for net metering and for the MA renewable energy incentive program, SMART. I am now enjoying 0 monthly bills with credits even with the charging my EV and electric lawn mower
After evaluating several solar options for reliable execution on the Island, we found Harvest Sun Solar. Outstanding reliable professional work. Lives on the island, so is available on short notice. Can't be happier.
Sean will listen to what you want and be able to translate your ideas into construction. I appreciate his vision.
