A ctpost.com article quoted Vivian Perez, owner of HE-Energy Solutions in Stratford, saying the surcharge on electric bills keeps thousands of contractors and energy and solar conversion workers employed across the state. A recent customer said the workers sealed windows, replaced door seals, foamed gaps in the basement and repaired a hole under the sink, then left no mess in the house. A recent customer said Marcus and Bobby found areas that needed sealing and door sweeps, checked the stove for gas leaks and referred them for attic insulation, which went from 3 inches to 18 inches. A recent customer said Alexander and the crew answered their questions, walked them through the process and cleaned up afterward. A recent customer called the company a scam. That customer said the sealing after an energy assessment was caulking in random areas, that the caulking around the ceiling moulding in a kids' bedroom looked terrible, and that they were told to buy foam on Amazon for the windows. That customer also said they were told the whole house needed insulation and that the two people sent out seemed to have no training in construction. A 2026 customer said Alex and the team insulated the attic and crawlspace and gave a down-to-earth price. A 2026 customer said having the company come out was mandatory when getting solar panels. A 2023 customer who applied to the program said the company helped them get another company to remediate attic mold, then insulated the attic and basement and changed the windows for a small co-payment. A 2022 customer said three workers installed the windows and the job was complete in a timely manner. Connecticut lists its home improvement contractor registration, HIC.0628887, as active, held by Handyman Express Energy Solutions LLC.

Amazing service. I can’t recommend enough. The guys were extremely polite and thorough, sealed windows, replaced door seals, foamed gaps in the basement and repaired a hole under my sink! Left no mess in the house after they packed up.
What a wonderful program. If I would give 10 stars I could. Marcus and Bobby were efficient and explained everything. They saw areas that required sealing and door sweeps I never thought about. I was impressed at how thorough they were with checking everything including my stove for gas leaks. They referred me for insulation in my attic, which was only 3 inches at the time and now is 18 inches. My house is much cooler and I’m sure in the winter it’ll be much warmer. I also needed a ridge vent on my roof. I was grateful that Chris came and was fast efficient and did a wonderful job. They printed out all my ratings and explained everything in detail. Alex was great with hooking me up with the services I needed and very proactive with communication Bottom line is I’m going to end up saving money because of What an amazing job these gentlemen did. I highly recommend having the service.
This company is a scam, they came to my house for an energy assessment, they ran some test and then said they would seal the house which just involved caulking random areas on the house, they caulked my kids bedroom around the ceiling moulding and it looked terrible, there was no air getting in through there, I asked them to do something about the windows as that’s where the obvious air leak was and they told me to go on Amazon to buy some foam, they then said I needed to get my whole house insulated, I told them that half is an extension and already would have insulation so why would I need to insulate that? I think this is a scam company profiting off government rebates that tries to upsell insulation requirements. The two people who were sent out seemed to have no training in construction.
Alexander and their crew did a phenomenal job. They answered all of our questions, walked us through the process, and were diligent in cleaning up after as well. They did excellent work.
Alex and team helped me insulate my attic and in my crawlspace. The team was so thorough. They accurately assessed my space and gave me a down to earth price - scheduling was a breeze! Also they were so responsive via email. Life is busy and email is so much more efficient than phone tag. Thank you for your excellent work.
