CT Weatherproof Insulation, LLC insulates attics, crawl spaces, basement ceilings and exterior walls, often removing and replacing siding to blow insulation into the walls. It holds 4.6 stars from 58 Google ratings and an A grade from the Better Business Bureau, which counts 5 complaints against it. A recent customer had insulation placed in a basement ceiling, a knee wall and the space between the exterior and interior walls, and said the installers took the vinyl siding off and put it back without damage. That customer later found polyurethane foam residue on the siding, and said the company took care of it at no additional charge. A recent customer described a project that "wasn't 'a walk in the park'" and said the work crew put in a long day. A 2026 customer who bought a house built in 1965 said the company did tests, made written recommendations and handled the government rebate paperwork, and that Tony A. and his crew finished a three-day job in two. A 2024 customer with a home from 1804 said the installers spotted knob-and-tube wiring before going ahead, then insulated the basement ceiling, attic floor and walls, removing and replacing aluminum siding. In a 2023 review, a customer said Clayton and AJ blew insulation into the walls of an 1879 home and the clapboards that had been removed could not be picked out afterward. A recent customer said vent lines for bathroom fans were run about 25 feet to another part of the roof instead of straight through, leaving two vents in the roof, and that the company had not responded. A recent customer said the company issued a new invoice weeks after payment and tried to collect about $500 more. A recent customer said calls went unanswered and the contract held the company not liable for incidental damage. A 2026 customer said the installers left bottles in the bushes and debris on the roof that blocked gutters, and a 2026 customer said siding damaged in 2025 had not been fixed and the roof was damaged on a return visit. Connecticut lists its home improvement contractor registration, HIC.0670847, as active, held by CT Weatherproof Insulation LLC.
Unfortunately they rarely answer their phone and getting a call back is quite difficult. Eventually heard back and began moving forward with the contract. Upon reviewing the contract I noticed that there's a clause stating their company is not liable for any incidental damage to the property that may occur during their work. It also stated that the customer is responsible for pulling permits. I asked if they would get clarification on these things, waited a week and never heard back. I called to get an update and was told they pull the permits but the contract language couldn't be changed. They also wouldn't change the language regarding any liability. Poor communication, no option to speak with someone higher at the company and poorly written legal contracts. Be VERY careful with this company.
UPDATE: July 17, 2026: I still give this company a 5-star rating. Today, I had two very professional and kind guys (Travis and Patrick) come to my house to replace a piece of vinyl siding. During the foam spray insulation, polyurethane foam residue ended up on my siding. THAT DOES NOT COME OFF. I noticed it months later and emailed a photo of it to Dale at the company. It was taken care of NO ADDITIONAL CHARGE. Thank you so much. Excellent customer service. Highly recommended still. ORIGINAL POST: CT Weatherproof Insulation, LLC is the real deal! The crew who was sent to my house was A+. A huge shoutout, and a round of applause, to Tony, Cecil, Jack and Brian. These guys were so polite and hardworking. They worked from 9:30 am - 4:45 pm, finishing the job in one day that “could have” taken two. I had insulation placed in my basement ceiling, knee wall, and in the space between my exterior wall and interior wall. They had to take the vinyl siding off of my house and placed it back without any damage. Thank you SO MUCH. Now, let’s hope that the insulation makes a big difference in my electric and oil usage, saving me lots of money.
Fabulous! This project wasn't 'a walk in the park' and you all got it done. Everyone has been really devoted, through the ups and downs. The work crew was exceptional, totally cheerful about the challenge and, wow, they put in a long day!! It's the quietest kind of all day project. I will post reviews and rave about you to my Facebook world. I look forward to the chance to recommend you. Toasting a glass of wine. Next winter will make that room part of the house!
UPDATE: Editing my original review from 5 stars to 3 The install crew was professional and the work itself was fine. The billing experience was a different story. After I paid in full per a signed final invoice, the company created a new invoice weeks later with changed line items and tried to collect an additional ~$500 I didn’t owe. Earlier in the project I also had to flag an incorrect charge that their own onsite specialist said shouldn’t have been there. It took multiple calls and emails to resolve. I’d recommend checking every line item carefully.
Do not hire these guys for anything. I'm in the middle of a problem and was assured I'd hear back with a resolution right away and haven't since last week. They were supposed to vent my bathroom fans straight through my roof instead of in the soffit. I go and check the work and they ran vent lines probably 25+ feet bending around corners to an easier part of the roof for them to access. So now I have two vents in my roof where they shouldn't be.... bathroom fans aren't strong enough to push air through 25 ft of flexible hose bending around corners. My fans will burn out in less than 6 months. So now to fix it they need to fix the vents but now I have two holes in my roof that shouldn't be there....how will this get fixed I have no idea. Since they aren't responding to me I'm writing a review and will update when I hear more from them.
