Heron House Properties sells a membership, not a job. Pay a flat $135 an hour and the same Newburyport team covers the handyman list, the carpentry, the interior design and the key-holder visits while you're away — Thumbtack puts the company at five employees and eight years in, working the North Shore of Massachusetts, southern New Hampshire and coastal Maine. That breadth is the pitch: one number for owners who would otherwise chase a different trade every time, up to and including renovations where several trades have to be sequenced under one roof. They take commercial work alongside residential. What customers have said publicly is thin — two reviews, both on Thumbtack, both five stars, the newer of them from January 2023. There is nothing more recent, and nothing from any other platform, so how the company works today isn't something strangers can tell you. A reasonable call for a second home or a property you don't live near, where a standing arrangement beats one-off bookings. Before signing on, pin down what the membership costs, what it covers, and whether the $135 rate really applies to everything — then ask for references from the last year or two.

The Heron House team designed and remodeled my outdated master bathroom. Working with them was a terrific experience from start to finish. Heron House took care of everything--the demo, carpentry, installation of plumbing, fixtures, electric, heated flooring, etc. as well as the interior design. The team coordinated all the moving pieces seamlessly, and they were respectful of both my schedule and budget. My new bathroom is my sanctuary, and my favorite room in my home thanks to Heron House. Highly recommend! (body truncated by the page's Read more control)
