Hiland Movers is a family-owned residential and commercial moving company based in Worcester, Massachusetts, run by owner Jim Hiland. The company specializes in moving pianos, gun safes, hot tubs and other heavy or fragile items, and also offers packing, unpacking, junk removal, furniture assembly and pod/trailer loading. In 2023 reviews on Thumbtack and HomeAdvisor, customers consistently described careful handling of difficult moves — a piano and heavy furniture carried up multiple flights of stairs without wall damage, a washing machine swap completed on time and on budget, and a move to New York and back handled without incident. Several reviewers specifically credited Jim Hiland with responding quickly to requests and personally overseeing the job. Every review on file — 11 across the two platforms — is five stars, with no complaints, disputes or negative reports of any kind. That record is thin on volume and entirely from 2023, with nothing more recent to confirm current service levels, so a homeowner considering a booking today may want to ask directly about current availability and pricing. For a piano, safe or other heavy-item move handled with visible care by a hands-on owner, Hiland Movers 2023 track record is uniformly positive — worth confirming current scheduling and rates before booking.
