In a 2023 one-star review, a man who bought a house from Chris said he could not get a reply afterwards, despite being told to reach out if anything went wrong; it is the one negative account among the written reviews, and it concerns a property sale rather than a renovation. And the Better Business Bureau page for Conant Brothers Construction, Inc. at the same Summer Street address carries a business alert flagging the company as suspected or known to be out of business, and lists it as not accredited and not rated — which sits oddly beside a kitchen finished in June 2026. For a kitchen or an addition on the South Shore where you want the same few hands from the first drawing to the last coat of paint, this is a shop whose customers keep returning. Ask which of them will actually run your job, and get the contracting entity's name and registration number on the contract.
