HomeStar Masonry and Construction

A customer getting an older house ready for sale hired HomeStar Masonry and Construction to fix the front steps and, in an August 2024 Google review, said Michael and his team ended up painting the whole house, repairing a window and taking on other jobs that came up — without upcharging for the extras. The Boston company is mainly a masonry shop, but its customers describe roofing, siding and repair work too. Five Google reviews from 2024 and 2025 name Mike or Michael; a June 2025 customer, whose front stairs were fixed, called Mike the owner. Another August 2024 customer said the team finished a bad vinyl siding job left by someone else within a day and also did pointing on the brick. A February 2025 customer had storm-blown shingles replaced with matched colors and a chimney repaired at the same visit, and got photos of the work. An August 2024 reviewer had a roof and a new chimney installed and said Mike kept them updated through the project. On Angi, four December 2024 reviews describe a stone patio, a custom stone fireplace, restored historic stucco and an urgent foundation repair. One April 2025 Google review gave 1 star with the words "Not good enough." Its Massachusetts home improvement contractor registration, #213948, is active. Google shows 4.7 stars from 14 ratings, and Angi and HomeAdvisor each 5.0 from 13. The company's website says it is locally owned and operated, with over three decades of experience, and lists masonry, roofing, waterproofing, foundations, basements and paving.
