Verified record
HomeTeam of Boston is a home inspection company with an unusually deep written record — 151 reviews from 2021 through 2026 — and the pattern across the overwhelming majority of them is remarkably consistent: thorough, unhurried inspections with clear, in-person explanations of what was found. Inspector Mik is named in dozens of reviews specifically for walking buyers through electrical, gas, and structural findings with the tools to measure them, and other named inspectors — Michele, John, Massimo, Raj, Nik — draw similarly specific praise. Reviewers repeatedly describe getting a same-day appointment on short notice, receiving a detailed written report within hours, and, in at least one case, a 100-page report with extensive photos for a pre-inspection. First-time homebuyers in particular describe feeling less anxious because an inspector took the time to explain the home's systems in plain language. A realtor with experience working with many different inspectors specifically called Mik and the HomeTeam crew outstanding, and one client described working with the company for years across multiple transactions. One account from January 2024 is worth reading closely: a reviewer said an inspection performed by Raj missed a roof that needed replacing within a year due to active leaks, and missed evidence of termites that surfaced later. That's a serious complaint about the exact thing a home inspection exists to catch, and it stands apart from everything else in the written record — no similar complaint appears in the dozens of reviews before or after it, including the forty from the last six months. HomeTeam of Boston has an exceptionally well-documented reputation for thoroughness and communication — the volume and specificity of praise here, across many different named inspectors, is real evidence of consistent standards. The one 2024 account is worth asking about directly if scheduling with that particular inspector, but it's an outlier against an otherwise uniform record.

This is my first time using an inspector and very happy with the results. It was very informative and they even communicatedin my language when needed. They were available for booking and didn't have to delay which was great because I needed something ASAP. The inspection wasn't rushed, if you have any concerns or questions they were ready to answer. The report is well detailed with pictures that you don't have to take any notes and it's ready by the next day.
The best, number one im very satisfy with the services. Thanks!
Mik and Mike were very thorough. Showed up early and spent hours doing an in depth inspection of the home. The report came very quickly as well.
Mik was great, very diligent and explained the home’s structure and functions along the way. He had tools with him to measure gas leaks, electrical currents, and miniature. I’m glad I chose them for the Inspection.
Our experience with Mik was fantastic. He took the time to explain everything he was doing, answer our questions, and make sure we felt good about the inspection. I would recommend him to anyone!
