“I'd second Valley and Hometown.”
“Have had very good experiences with both Dave’s World and Hometown out of Burnham. No complaints, fully compliant with Efficiency Maine for rebates/financing.”
“Also worked with Hometown out of Burnham and they were great.”
“Zero complaints and it’s worth whatever cost. We paid 12k after rebates but we added extended warranty and air purifiers. This was in May 2022. Hometown heat pumps.”
I am beyond disappointed and have been left scrambling to ensure I have heat this winter. Do not hire! I have been a customer of Hometown Heat Pumps since 2018, when they installed a system in my home. In May, I reached out to share that my heat pumps were not working, after they had just repaired and serviced them that September. They stressed how busy they were but made time on June 18th. They then claimed that my parts were on order, and that they would come back to complete the repair when they came in. I have touched base with their team nearly every week since, hoping for an updated timeline on parts, while they continued to blame Daiken. I called Daiken and was informed that due to my warranty, Hometown Heat Pumps should be installing a new system/providing a solution within 10 days if parts are not available. This did not happen. When told I should call the distributor myself, I did so and was told by the distributor that parts had been quoted on 06/19, but never ordered. I called back in to share the news and was told that there “was no way that was true” and that they would call the distributor asap and get back to me that day with an update. It’s several days later and I’ve been calling and emailing with no response. To make matters worse - they physically took my outdoor unit, so I don’t have the equipment (that I own) on hand to have it repaired by someone else. Unfortunately, as a long time customer, this business seems to have gone downhill in the past two or so years. I understand being busy, but this is just unacceptable.
Done with this outfit for services. I bought 2 units off them several years ago and had them installed. Regularly maintained them. But thier labor rates are absolutely ridiculous. They give you 12 year free parts, but they get it back in thier labor rates. They fixed them last July charged me $1,500 for labor and freon recharge. And they forgot the outside covers back at the shop and left my electrical components exposed to the weather for a few weeks til they got ba k into town. The heat pumps broke again 4 months later, with one interior unit needing a coil and told my wife $500 for a quote the day they came out to diagnose the issue, (which was $150 just for that), and then told me today "oh that doesnt include freon". And it jumped up to $855. And "we dont know when the part will be here". If your looking for heat pumps, dont go here. No big deal dont mind baking in the heat and its my o ly source of heat in the winter
I had Hometown Heat Pump Service my Heat Pump last Spring the Service Technician that showed up had only been doing it for a few weeks we had lengthy discussion he was electrician working this job in the interim. The job took much longer than anticipated and he broke a part off my machine..which he told me about after he was done. The part took 3 months to come in ..and my heatpump has blown nothing but hot air on the cool setting. Which my heatpump had no issues prior to their visit!! Ive called them several times but they keep telling me their Technician couldn't cause this issue but when I Google the problem Google identifies the issue right away. I did like this company until they sent over Technicians that weren't properly trained and they failed to take responsibility for the problems !
I would NOT recommend this heat pump company. After a year I’ve had nothing but problems with my unit throwing codes and doesn’t even work. Leaks inside the heat pump and causing rust! They also never came and fixed it when asked.
The gentleman that u sent you mu home was amazing. He was very polite and professional and did a through job. I would definitely recommend u people
