I have been renting from Hopper for years and never had a problem until 2023. I sent the following message to April from Hopper directly after our stay in July 2023 and never got a response back. I even sent a follow up email several days later inquiring and still never got an apology, response or anything. We have already secured our rental for this year with another agency and will not be returning to Hopper. “There is rustic/charming and then there is rustic/dirty/dilapidated. This house was the latter. The ceiling in the living room looked as if it was full of mold/asbestos, the house was full of bugs (spiders/ants/earwigs) my mother got a spider bite/we have bugs crawling out of our bags today as we unpacked them at home, the yard is loaded with ticks which we found on us after simply unloading the car(crawling in our beds), the yard was not mowed and so long that we could not sit out there or play yard games which is the entire reason we rented a house vs. a hotel, and there were holes in the screens, an enormous bees nest in the bushes in the front of the driveway and the outdoor shower had zero water pressure (it dribbled out at best which made it impossible to shower in - something we look forward to doing on vacation is taking outdoor showers). Also, the electrical is so outdated and connected by power strips that you could not blow dry your hair or use a steamer if the AC was on…overall this was a really disappointing property which is surprising because we have rented from you many times
