Hourihane Carpentry & Construction is a Weymouth, Massachusetts outfit run by Lenny Hourihane, offering trim work, window replacement, cedar shingle and wood siding installation, tiling, staircases, wood flooring and painting, according to its Houzz profile. The one detailed account on file, a 2015 Houzz review, describes a full basement renovation: after twenty years of an unfinished space, Lenny coordinated framers, electricians, plasterers and painters to turn it into a finished living area. The reviewer called him hands-on and dependable, and specifically noted he doesn't leave a job until it's finished and right — a level of detail about coordinating several trades on one project, even though the account is now over a decade old. Beyond that one review, the written record is thin: a Houzz Badge credential and bare listings on a couple of other contractor directories, with no additional detail to independently confirm the broader service list. For a multi-trade job like a basement or room buildout, that one review is a strong data point in the company's favor, but given how dated the file is, it's worth asking for more recent references before booking.
I highly recommend Hourihane Carpentry. We had an unfinished basement for over twenty years and Lenny Hourihane made our longtime dream a reality when he turned our bare basement into a room where people want to spend time in and relax. Lenny coordinates professional framers, electricians, plasterers, and painters to turn something looked-over into something beautiful. He is hands-on and he clearly takes pride in what he does, the work proves that. He's dependable and more than qualified. He's worked wonders for us and he doesn't leave a job until it's finished and right. Anyone who has Lenny work on their home is fortunate. His input and finishing work are amazing. Next time I might ask him to redo the whole house.
