Huntington Homes builds houses indoors. The East Montpelier company says its 100,000-square-foot shop is a climate-controlled space where it builds homes under a roof, saving clients time and money, and it sells both stock floor plans and custom builds. Its Vermont residential contractor registration is active. In a November 2022 Google review, a customer described a "turn key" package built 10 years earlier: about a year of planning with Jason and customizing the design, "no surprises," and, after 10 years in the house, "one of the best financial decisions we ever made." An August 2024 Google reviewer, almost three years into their Huntington Home, wrote that everyone from management to the maintenance crew had been responsive and helpful. A May 2024 Reddit commenter said they picked a stock floor plan and worked with the company on tweaks so it fit their needs. A February 2021 Reddit commenter wrote of a 12-year-old Huntington house: "It's solid and cozy." A January 2024 Reddit commenter wrote that Huntington's quality control is terrible, said they had helped with four of its homes since 2020, and said all had massive issues with lumber quality, to the point of raising concerns about structural integrity. A November 2024 Reddit commenter said places like Huntington Homes vary in quality from decent to poor. In a July 2024 Reddit thread, one commenter said the cost can be similar to a custom home framed on site and advised shopping around. A February 2021 commenter said the turn-key designs are no cheaper than timber frame or SIP. A 2023 commenter cited a $228k starting price for TruHomes, as set modules without site work or finishing. In October 2024 a Reddit commenter wrote that Huntington now wants a builder to help direct the process. In November 2021 a one-star Google reviewer wrote that they had called a week earlier and no one had gotten back to them.

We built a Huntington Home "turn key" package 10 years ago. We spent about a year planning with Jason and customizing our design. There were no surprises. We have been very happy with our home and that we selected Huntington. Every employee that we dealt with was fabulous. Given the magnitude of the financial consequences, I can say after 10 years of living here, that this was one of the best financial decisions we ever made.
