Hurricane Energy Heating and Cooling delivers heating oil and works on the furnaces and boilers it heats. Its website names New Haven and Middlesex as its service area and says a service technician is on call 24/7; the company says it has been in business 11 years. A 2026 customer in a first winter of oil delivery with the company said that when the heat went out on a weekend after hours, Debbie called back from her personal number and Frank the technician was at the house within an hour. That 2026 customer said the line was frozen, oil was leaking and the furnace needed a part, and the heat was back on within an hour. A 2026 customer said a technician came with 15 gallons to hold the household over until Monday when snowy conditions kept the trucks from going out. A 2025 customer who called around 4-4:30PM about availability said the oil truck was filling the tank the next morning, with the service ticket left in the mailbox for payment. A 2026 customer said Frank and John replaced a stuck zone valve on their furnace in less than 2 hours. A recent customer said Randy was efficient and patient while installing a new thermostat, and a recent customer who left a large regional company said the owner answers the phone. A 2025 customer said a delivery ordered on Tuesday for Friday never came, and was then told the truck had broken down and a voicemail had been left, which the customer said never arrived. A 2023 reviewer said elderly parents paid a deposit for a special-order blower fan that the reviewer's son found was not needed; the labor money was refunded, but a $100 restocking fee was charged. A 2022 customer said that after paying a deposit in January for a boiler, hot water heater and AC pump, the installation did not happen until about mid June, and promised call-backs never came. A 2026 customer who praised the work said the office did not always call back when it said it would. Connecticut lists its B1 heating licence, HTG.0393558-B1, held by Hurricane Energy Heating & Cooling LLC, as expired.
“Hurricane Energy Forbes Purple Fuels All good local suppliers that are relatively cheap and reliable. Hurricane also does service.”
You can not ask for better customer service, or better and kinder people. They are TERRIFIC!! They go above and beyond anyone else in the business. They make sure that you and your family are warm in the winter. Please don't forget or hesitate to do all your business with them. They are the very best! Family run, hard and honest workers. Do business with them, you won't regret it.
After being a long time customer of a large regional company and feeling like a number, we decided to go with a local company. It was a great decision. The owner actually answers the phone and remembers who you are when you call. They are highly responsive, knowledgeable and just really nice to work with. A+. No regrets!!!
Simply the best!!!!!
I am very happy to have found this company. Being single and having dealt with others in the past, they far supersede any of them. From the office staff to the technicians, they are friendly, trustworthy and very reliable.
We are new to Hurricane Energy but have appreciated the warm welcome and excellent service so far. Coming from another bigger provider, we are happy with the family type of service and fast response to our contacts.
