iCornerstone is a Weymouth firm run by Richard Connolly that positions itself as a research and oversight service — helping homeowners act as their own general contractor through consulting and construction project oversight — rather than a typical hands-on remodeling crew. Connolly first ran it as Cornerstone Consulting and relaunched it as iCornerstone in 2011, aiming for a nationally available online model; the business has operated in some form for 38 years, since 1988. A recent Google review describes a more traditional remodeling experience: a homeowner needing a kitchen redone on short notice said Connolly was meticulous, personally involved, and managed subcontractors who were "wonderful to work with," calling him easy to talk to and quick to find solutions. That's not the whole record, though. The Better Business Bureau's page for iCornerstone lists a customer complaint alleging amateur planning work and a refused deposit refund — a serious allegation that sits alongside the A+ BBB grade the business also carries (it is not BBB-accredited). Given that split record, it's worth asking pointed questions about deposits, contracts, and planning deliverables before signing anything.

We had a wonderful experience with Richard. He helped us remodel our kitchen when we were really in a pinch. His subcontractors were all wonderful to work with as well. He is so meticulous and caring about his projects - you can tell he loves what he does! If you’re hesitating, just tell him. He is so easy to talk to and will always find a solution.
