iCornerstone isn't a typical remodeling crew — Richard Connolly built it as a consulting service out of Weymouth that helps homeowners act as their own general contractor, developing designs, specifications, and budgets, then coordinating the subcontractors who do the physical work. Connolly owns and runs the company, which he relaunched in 2011 from an earlier firm, Cornerstone Consulting, Inc., a business the Better Business Bureau has had on file since 1988. The clearest account of what hiring him actually looks like comes from a homeowner who used him for a kitchen remodel: they call it a good experience, say his subcontractors were good to work with, and describe Connolly as meticulous and easy to talk to when issues came up. Google shows the same shape of feedback, with a 5-star average from a handful of ratings. That isn't the whole story. The Better Business Bureau gives iCornerstone an A+ grade, but it also lists a customer review alleging "kindergarten"-level planning work and a refused deposit refund on a remodel project. With so few reviews on the record overall, that complaint sits directly against the positive kitchen-remodel account, and neither fully settles what to expect. Before signing on, ask directly how deposits, scope, and disputes get handled — that's the one sour note on file, and it's worth pinning down in writing. iCornerstone reads like the right call for someone who wants a guide through the remodeling process rather than a crew that shows up and swings the hammer themselves, provided the subcontractor arrangement and payment terms are spelled out up front.

We had a wonderful experience with Richard. He helped us remodel our kitchen when we were really in a pinch. His subcontractors were all wonderful to work with as well. He is so meticulous and caring about his projects - you can tell he loves what he does! If you’re hesitating, just tell him. He is so easy to talk to and will always find a solution.
