A dead boiler running again in under one hour on a mid-winter emergency call, after another company spent three days trying to figure out why it wasn't running — that is what a 2022 customer said J.A. Binkley and sons LLC did. The company's own site describes heating and cooling work, from repairs and maintenance to complete installations, and says "no job is too small." A 2022 customer, a first-time homebuyer, said the owner Jim explained everything in great detail. A 2023 customer wrote that Jim and team reviewed a heating system another company had installed and explained the reasons behind years of problems. That 2023 customer opted for a new system with a couple of specialty modifications and said Jim followed up a few weeks after the install to check for questions. A 2023 customer with a Navien system said Jim returned a call at 7pm on a Friday night and offered to come out that night. A 2022 customer said Mr. Binkley talked them through fixing a no-power, no-hot-water problem caused by a switched-off emergency gas switch, spending close to half an hour on it instead of having someone come out. A 2023 customer said Jim and his sons removed a heating grate from a very old furnace. A 2022 customer wrote that the company came to the rescue on plumbing issues. A 2025 customer said they came within an hour during a heat wave when the A/C was out and fixed it promptly at a fair price. A 2025 customer said a technician came out to quote a boiler replacement, but the quote never arrived despite a few calls to the office over three weeks.
