At Sippin Energy Products, a recent customer's annual oil boiler checkup ended with Austin B going over the new numbers and patiently explaining everything he did. A newtownbee.com article calls it Sippin Energy Products of Monroe, and the company says it has been in business for 107 years. The recent jobs run from heat to hot water to cooling. When an indirect hot water heater was leaking, Louis and Dan determined the tank had failed; Eric, the Assistant Service Manager, got paperwork from town hall so the manufacturer would cover the failed tank, and Louis and Will replaced it and left the area neat and clean. A customer whose A/C fan had stopped turning said Brian found a non-functioning electronic piece in the blower and replaced it the same afternoon they called. One customer reported finding no hot water at 9:00 pm and wrote that the tech came out and found a valve clogged from the previous day's cleaning. The company also places propane tanks: a customer preparing for a new generator said Sippin placed the tanks and the electrician set the generator. Before an A/C coil service, a customer received a text and email with a picture of the service tech. Timing slipped for one recent visit: the appointment window ended at 12:00pm and the technicians arrived at 12:05pm, after a text at 11:47am said they were on the way. In 2025, a Reddit commenter in r/Connecticut said they stopped using Sippin years ago because it was way too expensive.
