I honestly cannot say enough wonderful things about J & M Renovations Inc. and the incredible experience I had having my brand-new ADU built on my parents’ property. From the very beginning to the very end, Larissa was an absolutely amazing point of contact. She made what could have been an overwhelming process feel simple, organized, and easy. From getting all of the necessary permits through the city, to coordinating building materials, going shopping and picking up all of the final touches I requested, Larissa was there every step of the way. She also made sure every inspection was completed properly and that everything was up to code. Of course, like any construction project, there were a few bumps in the road with inspections. What impressed me most was how Larissa, Douglas, and the entire J & M team handled every single one of them. They never lost their positive attitude, never made me feel like I was a burden, and quickly took care of every little detail the inspectors were looking for — even the crazy little things that sometimes come up during construction. Douglas and his team were absolutely incredible. They were professional, hardworking, respectful, and paid close attention to every detail. One thing that really stood out to me was how conscientious they were about the property. Every morning, they would arrive ready to work, and at the end of each day, they made sure the construction area was cleaned up and left looking the way it did when they arrived. Because the ADU was being built on my parents’ property and connected to the main house, this was extremely important. Their efforts allowed the residents of the main house to continue using and enjoying the property throughout the entire construction process. What started as an idea on paper has now become my beautiful new home, and I could not be happier with the finished product. I am so excited to have a place that I can proudly show off to my family and friends. Honestly, the hardest part of the project is that I’m actually sad not to see the J & M construction crew at my house every day anymore! Over the course of the build, they became like family, and it was bittersweet to see the project come to an end. To Larissa, Douglas, and the entire J & M Renovations team: THANK YOU! Thank you for your hard work, patience, professionalism, attention to detail, and for turning my vision into a reality. Thank you for building not just an ADU, but my new home. I am incredibly grateful for everything you did and would wholeheartedly recommend J & M Renovations Inc. to anyone looking to turn their dream home or project into a reality. We had a great experience working with J&M. They took the time to ensure we understood everything at the beginning of the project and maintained great communication throughout the bathroom renovation. They regularly checked in to see if we had any questions or concerns. All of the staff were both professional and friendly. We love the final product!
