J.H. Barlow Pump well water service water filtration services

Very expensive, I found another reliable company that did the same work and came next day to follow up with almost a thousand dollars less, Barlow even changed $250 fee to come out where the other company did not, although I lost the $250 fee for Barlow but I am happy that I found another reliable and fair company to work with in the future.

I would have rated them higher for past service but . . . Anytime you receive poor service it reflects on possibly getting poor service in the future . . . A Barlow service technician came for an annual service of my radon in water removal system. Everything appeared to be working properly as it is noisy and i check it regularly including the morning of the expected service. When finished, I went to ask him, already in his truck, why the service light was flashing. He said that he was not certain why, that he had reset it, came back in and proceeded to reset it. He also advised me, at this time and not before, that he had to change out the $200 fan. He stated that he had checked it out, found it not working and gave me a price break because the replacement was dirty from being in his truck for a while. After leaving, I realized that the water pressure guage was not working and that the replacement fan had a date stamp on it that showed it to be 2 years old as well as being dirty. Now maybe things just suddenly stopped working and maybe the system did malfunction to erroneously show that it needed to be serviced again right after being reset . . . But . . . Since I was home and available, I should have been advised on the fan replacement during the service and not after. Also, replacing the supposedly bad fan with an older dirty fan without my approval is unacceptable in my opinion. As for the guage? I just happened to be in the basement and observed it fluctuating and working just prior to the technicians arrival . . . I have scheduled a revisit, hopefully with a different technician, to address these issues . . .

1950s customer service with 2026 technology equipment and whatever they do in the basement with our water needs in Middlebury. Best customer service and experienced techs who take pride in their work. Have been dealing with this company since I bought my first home as a single woman in 1999 and they have always been their for us..our second home they fixed everything since the October storm I’m 2012? to present day. Simply amazing reputable company. Middlebury resident. They are the best!

The whole team was awesome to work with on my well head extension project. Shout out to Jeremiah in the office who put my quote together and patiently answered all my questions as well as Ryan and Chris and Ryan’s cousin whose name I can’t remember (sorry bud)! They got the work done quickly and it looks great. I’ll be contacting them again when we are ready to upgrade our 41 year old well pump! Thanks again guys!
