"We had a radon level of over 9.0 and within 48 hours, the level was down to 0.4," a September 2026 Google reviewer wrote of the system Matt of Northeast Radon Mitigation Specialists installed. The Easton, Connecticut company does radon mitigation, holds 5 stars from 69 Google ratings, and offers free estimates on its site. Its Connecticut HIC license is active. Other customers report similar drops. A February 2026 reviewer went from 7.1 pCi/L to 0.5 pCi/L. In a June 2025 review, a customer reported a drop from 40 to 0.4 and wrote that Matt chose a right-size vent so the system would not be too costly to run. A March 2025 reviewer wrote that Matt's quote was not the absolute cheapest, but he was the only one willing to install an energy star low-CFM fan, and the levels went from 6-8 down to essentially undetectable. The work goes past the fan in some jobs. In an April 2024 review, a customer wrote that Matt installed a mitigation system and a drain cap and filled a small crack in the foundation, and the levels dropped from 6.0 to.3 within 2 days. An October 2022 customer said he also patched cracks in the basement concrete and replaced an old floor drain. Service calls come up too: an August 2024 reviewer's failed radon fan was replaced the same day, and in March 2026 a customer wrote that Matthew Frillici came back after about 10 months and replaced a troubled component. In a November 2024 comment on Reddit's r/radon, a commenter pointed to the company, writing that it seemed to have decent reviews.
“These guys seem to have decent reviews: https://www.northeastradonspecialists.com/”
I couldn't be happier with the job that Matt did on our radon mitigation system. He is organized, methodical, neat and highly knowledgeable about all things related to radon. I found Matt to be responsive during the entire evaluation and installation process. We had a radon level of over 9.0 and within 48 hours, the level was down to 0.4. There is no need to look further or compare to other providers in this space.
We met with a lot of people, but Matt was the first person who was clear, concise and solved our problem (high radon due to an addition lacking mitigation) Immediately. Would thoroughly recommend Matt and his company! Thank you, Matt
Matthew Frillici from North East Radon did a great job installing our new radon mitigation system. After about 10 months, we were having an issue and he said he’d be by to fix it in several days. He arrived on time, replaced the troubled component, and got us back up and running in no time. I just wish all equipment installers had the focus on customer service as Matthew has. Highly recommended Walter-Westport
A picture is worth a thousand words. Radon levels went from 7.1 pCi/L (too high) to 0.5 pCi/L (too low). Matt did a great job at radon mitigation.
If we could give Matt 10 stars, we would! He is a shining example of professionalism and what you wish every business owner would be. After measuring our radon levels with an Airthings Wave device over a period of several months, we discovered that our radon levels were elevated. Matt was responsive, communicative, professional, helpful, friendly, flexible, and just an all-around pleasure to work with from the initial consultation to the installation. And although it has only been a few days, our radon levels have already dropped to a barely detectable level -- averaging 0.4 pCi/L, which is incredible. We didn't expect such immediate results, so we are delighted!
