James McLean Carpentry

James McLean Carpentry has been working out of Waltham since 1994, by the Better Business Bureau's account — 32 years of carpentry run as a sole proprietorship with a single employee, which means one pair of hands and one schedule. The BBB grades the business A+ and lists bathroom remodeling among the work it takes on. BuildZoom carries a sample of three building permits pulled under the business's name. For a homeowner who would rather deal with the carpenter directly than with a crew, this is a sensible call, bathroom work included. Confirm the Massachusetts home improvement contractor registration and a certificate of insurance before signing, and ask how far out the calendar runs, since there is one person to run it.
