A recent Google customer who booked drain cleaning and a camera inspection said the tech removed a good-size root ball from the pipe. James Rybczyk Instant Response Plumbing, Heating & Air Conditioning describes itself on its website as handling plumbing from repairing water leaks to winterizing pipes, and says it has been in business 40 years. Its Connecticut plumber licence, PLM.0203021-P1, is active on the state registry, held by JAMES J RYBCZYK PLUMBING AND HEATING AND AIR CONDITIONING INC. A 2025 customer with a 100-year-old steam system said that when the furnace failed on one of the coldest days of the year, the company sent Kris the same morning despite being fully booked, and the repair took several hours. A 2022 customer said Kris gave same-day service on a hot water heater and explained what he was going to do to fix it. A 2022 customer thanked Eric and Jim for installing a new hot water tank and repairing a toilet, and said they removed the debris. A 2025 customer said the technician gave an estimate and completed the plumbing repairs in one day. Scheduling is the sore spot. A recent customer said that after a week of trying to set a date, the company said it was on the way and never showed up. A 2023 customer said no one arrived for a clogged toilet promised around 3:30, and the call was cancelled at 4:50. A 2025 customer said a $138 visit to tighten a faucet screw did not stop the leak under the sink. A recent customer who booked a sewer pipe unclogging said the two workers were let in before the homeowner got home, and that after a heated exchange they left in a huff with sewer water on the bedroom floor and the back door open. A 2022 customer said the technician charged for the hour spent finding the issue even though the trucks advertise free estimates. A 2023 customer said the company's job leaked in the walls of a condo's downstairs and the company then ignored them for weeks.

Had drain cleaning service and camera inspection. Tech was very informative on drains and was able to remove a good size root ball from pipe
I have never had such a bad experience with a person who was supposed to be professional in my entire life! I called this company this afternoon to schedule an appointment to have my sewer pipe unclogged. I was told that they would be here between 3-5 P.M. At 2:30 P.M., I decided I had time to go and make a deposit at my bank. At 2 minutes to 3, I arrived at my house to find that my mother, who is living with me because she's too old to live independently, allowed them inside against my wishes. My mother had no idea where the main sewer pipe was so, they had to go into my bedroom where there is a door to that small space. That means they also had to open the other doors to find it while I was not there! My bedroom is my personal space. It is my sanctuary. I don't appreciate strangers in there when I am not home. Who would? They should have asked if the homeowner was home. Then, they should have waited until at least 3 P.M. to see if I would be there and not have entered until I was there. That would have been the professional thing to do. I told my mother I didn't appreciate her letting them inside. Because my mother is 89 years old, she is hard of hearing so, I have to talk loudly. The man told me that I was being rude to her. I wasn't. We are very frank with each and always have been. That is the way we are. The man said that I should have more "respect" for her. I told him she should show some too. After all, it is my house and my bedroom she allowed strangers to enter. He told me that normally people complain when they are late and not when they are early. I did not complain that they were early. My issue was that they came into the house without the homeowner (me) being present. Then, the man was talking to my mother about the trees in the front yard and how they may be affecting the clogged pipe. I told the man that I was the homeowner, not her. At that point, he took offense at that and told his co-worker that they were "out of here" and that he never met such a "rude person" in all his life. They went down stairs and were whispering about my jogging suit and he called my jewelry "fake ass". It isn't but, that should not matter to him! He also called me a "punk". The girl, who was with him, for some reason, mentioned my "1998 Cadillac". I don't know what any of that had to do with my clogged sewer pipe. They accused me of getting the home from my mother even though she has never owned the home and didn't move in here until a while after I had purchased it. The house is in my name. Not hers. It was never her home, not that it should have mattered to him. He should have consulted with me, the homeowner, and not with her. They should have waited until I came home before entering. The girl inferred that I staged the whole thing to get out of paying even though I have thousands of dollars of open credit on my cards. They both left in a huff and didn't bother to clean anything up. Sewer water was on my bedroom floor. They left the back door wide open after leaving. The house became ice cold. My mother noticed it first and had to go to her bedroom. That is the way they treat the elderly? By freezing them to death? I don't recommend this company to anyone. WHAT A DISASTER!
Poor customer service, they said they were on the way after a week of trying to nail down a date and they never showed up, I was a customer for over twenty years, well that ended today, no more lies.
I've been calling upon Rbyczyk to service my furnace for as long as I've owned my house, because I have a 100 year old steam system that I would not trust anyone else to be experienced enough to fix. I recently had to call them when my furnace had a catastrophic failure during one of the coldest days of the year. Despite being fully booked, they went out of their way to send someone to my house that same morning, who ended up having to be there for several hours due to the complexity of the fix. Kris is so kind and friendly, and very knowledgeable about his trade. He repaired my furnace to a superb working order I did not know was even possible given the age of my system. Kris also took the time after the repair to chat with my young daughter. Id recommended these guys to anyone!
Worst service. Waste of time don’t bother asking for estimate they take forever and never called you back. The lady in the phone is careless. For everyone who goes to Bristol church don’t bother calling them… he advertised in the church bulletin and offers worst customer service. I will tell everyone I know not to call them including the people who recommended me to them
