JB Appliance Repair holds 4.8 stars from 205 Google ratings. Its website says first-time customers who book an appointment online get a $15 off coupon. One customer booked a same-day appointment online and said Juan confirmed it moments later, called 20 minutes before arriving, and fixed a stove quickly. A customer said Juan arrived early and was upfront about the issue with a fridge. A customer with a washer that was not draining said the capacitor was changed with assurance it was fixed, and the washer stopped draining again a week later; that customer was then told the motor was not working and that buying a new washer was the better option. A customer whose dryer was creating condensation that kept clothes from drying said Juan found a ripped moisture sensor and came back to repair it, but the clothes still did not dry. On a later visit set for 4:30, that customer said he arrived at 5:15 and ripped the venting behind the dryer off the main ventilation line. The customer said they found a large amount of lint blocking the vent to the lint catch themselves, and the dryer then worked.
Juan was great. He confirmed my same day appointment moments after I booked it online and called 20 minutes prior to arriving. He was able to trouble shoot the issue with our stove and fixed it quickly.
Arrived early which was plus. Juan thank you for being upfront about the issue with the fridge and thank you again for being professional and honest.
This guy is a joke. Came in initially due to our dryer creating a lot of condensation, causing the clothes not to dry. He did find there was a moisture sensor that was ripped from the appliance (we just moved into a condo) and came back to do the repair on that. Following this, the clothes still weren’t drying due to the major amount of condensation. My husband attempted to call Juan about 3 times, all of which he stated he didn’t receive? I don’t even know. He comes back after finally answering, mind you he wanted to come at 4:30 so my husband left work early to be there for his arrival. He didn’t decide to show up until 5:15 and I had just got home from work 5 minutes earlier. He literally looked, emphasis on the look, at my dryer. Attempted to put it out. But this “repair man” didn’t know there was a water line attached to it due to the steam/sanitize option. And he ripped the venting system behind the dryer leading to the main ventilation line completely off. Mind you, he had my husband help him try to take it down??… maybe hire and additional employee? He then moved on to talking about vents where he looked and talked about the “main ventilation line” he then comes back in with my husband and says “well, just run it without the vent unconnected from the main line. If it dries there’s an issues with your main ventilation line. If it doesn’t dry, there’s something else wrong, text me if they dried or not” THE LEFT. The clothes did not dry in which my husband texted him that the clothes still aren’t drying. He didn’t respond for three hours, but his response and what my husband and I did in between is the real kicker. My husband, who knows NOTHING about dryers, he is a plumber. Started to think of the vents like he would zones in plumbing. That’s when a lightbulb went off that the only vent WE. Emphasis on WE, didn’t check, was the vent that leads to the lint catch. Our stackable washer and dryer sits in a closet, a small closet. My husband cannot fit he’s too tall, and there’s not much space to work with. So I went on top of the dryer in this tiny closet and hung head first over the back of it, just to find a HUGE amount of lint blocking the vent. I finally get out of the closet we run the dryer. It was fixed. Juan did finally answer! With “how is that possible” Real great repair man let me tell ya. If you ever need a repair, my husbands always around 😊 you can contact me via my Gmail associated with this account.
Washer was not draining. He said that it is the capacitor and he changed it and reassured us that it is fixed and there is no other issues. Only One week after, the washer stopped draining again! and now he is saying that the motor is not working and it is better to buy a new washer!
