Money and calendar come up again and again. A Google reviewer in April 2020, on their second and third builds with the company, wrote that they came in "right on budget and on the time." A June 2013 client said their house was built on schedule and within budget; a February 2013 client said two homes arrived on time and below budget. That thread runs from the earliest reviews to the newest. The most detailed account is from September 2020, where a homeowner described Jack Robbie working problems mid-build — a last-minute ceiling-height adjustment, a stairwell redesigned to soften the pitch, a way to tuck away the attic access — and credited him with catching practical details that hadn't been factored in. In a December 2017 review, an architectural designer who had worked with Jack, Jennifer and their team across multiple projects said they study the plans carefully and collaborate in the field, and that they recommend them to their own clients. Another December 2017 client had the company build their primary residence in 2010, then hired them back for an addition on a second home. Two things to raise on the phone. Its written record runs 2013 to 2020 and stops there, so ask for references from jobs finished recently rather than relying on what is posted. And the history is layered: the 2013 reviews describe the same husband-and-wife team working as Cedar Point Properties, while the BBB profile dates the business to 2018 and lists one employee — worth asking who is on the crew now and how much of the work is subcontracted. For a ground-up coastal house or a substantial addition between Duxbury and the Cape, this is a builder whose clients kept coming back for second and third projects. The posted work is whole houses, additions and renovations rather than small repairs, so match the job to that before calling — and ask for a current, local reference you can walk through.
