In October 2025 a condo owner hired JC Carpentry and Painting for exterior paint and, in the same visit, carpentry to fix serious structural problems in the decks — the two halves of this company in one job. Jeremias Chavez runs it out of Lynn, and each of the five detailed Thumbtack accounts names him. The work in those accounts keeps pairing a saw with a brush. A June 2026 customer had a porch repaired, new stairs and a railing installed, and the whole thing painted. Another that same week wanted painting done fast and says he answered quickly and got it done quickly. An April 2026 basement repaint — one room, trim and walls, a color change — was logged as clean and smooth, punctual and finished on time. Thumbtack shows a 5.0 across 17 ratings, 13 hires and 82 project photos, with eight employees behind Jeremias. The older accounts sit on Angi in 2020, and one of them explains how he gets work: a customer described meeting him at a car wash, where he stopped to help them vacuum and handed over a card with, in their words, no sales pitch. Two things are worth raising before you book. The Thumbtack page does not agree with itself about how long the company has been at this — 14 years in one spot, over 13 in another, 12 in a third — so ask him directly. And the company's site says it is RRP lead certified; if your house has old paint under the new, ask to see that certificate. For painting with carpentry attached — a porch that needs rebuilding before it can take a coat, a deck under the exterior work — this is a small Lynn crew that does both halves itself. Ask who from the eight-person crew will actually be on site, and settle the prep and the number of coats before the ladders go up.
