Twenty-nine Google ratings, a 5★ average, and one name that keeps repeating: Alex, usually with his brothers working alongside him. Tigers Flooring & Carpentry runs out of Lynn and says on its own site that it handles flooring, carpentry, painting and fencing for homes and commercial spaces, with about ten years behind it. Floors are what people call about first. The flooring work customers describe runs from single rooms to whole houses. A November 2025 reviewer had carpet torn out and hardwood laid after buying a first home; a July 2025 review from Bedford, New Hampshire describes the crew driving up to redo every floor but the bathrooms, the second time that family had hired them in a year. In March 2025 they put down a commercial rubber floor the customer noted was not a small job. Punctuality and cleanup come up constantly — furniture and appliances moved out of the way, floors swept behind them, crews arriving when they said they would. Painting shows up nearly as often as flooring, and that is where the repeat business comes from: someone gets a floor done, likes the crew, and brings them back for the walls. A 1920s house that needed carpentry before it could be repainted got a written estimate walking through the options first, per an April 2026 review. Gutters in June 2025, roof fascia and shingles in May 2025, a section of wood fence in May 2026 — each turns up once. Price talk here is unusually calm for a contractor. A June 2025 customer called the labor rates reasonable, an October 2025 one called the pricing fair, and in April 2025 someone said extra square footage got covered without an added charge. The only rating below five stars is that May 2026 fence replacement, and even that reviewer said the crew was on time and did the job as expected. Two things to pin down before booking. The ten-years figure is the company's own claim, and the written customer history starts in late 2024 — worth asking directly how long the current crew has worked together. And because they will take on floors, trim, paint, fencing, gutters and some roof work, get the scope written down; the jobs customers describe most warmly are the ones that started with a detailed estimate. Its Massachusetts home improvement contractor registration is active. If you want one small, family-run crew for a floor and whatever painting or trim follows it — including a run north into New Hampshire — this is a straightforward call. Ask for the itemized estimate up front.
Awesome work! They did our new floor which came out great and then replaced our old rotted fascia on the front of our house. Very professional, great quality work and we will be using them again shortly for another project. Highly recommend and very happy we found them!
Alex and his brothers did a perfect job finishing my floor. Their labor rates are very reasonable and quality of the work is top notch. Highly recommended.
The crew did a nice job on a small section of wood fence replacement. Crew was on time and did the job as expected
Completely satisfied with the exterior paint job. Our 1920s home needed extensive carpentry work as well as repainting the entire exterior. The team at Tigers thoroughly explained our options and provided a detailed estimate explaining the work they recommended. They then delivered on their promise to get our home looking good as new. Highly recommend and will be a repeat customer for any future projects!
Great customer service and great work! Most definitely will call again and recommend. Five star service!
