Jeff Watson & Associates is a family-run Rockport contractor offering handyman work, remodeling, additions, and general contracting. The company says it has more than 30 years of experience, while directory profiles list 27 to 31 years in business; its stated work includes carpentry, doors, windows, siding, decks, stairs, basements, kitchens, and bathrooms. People who hired Jeff describe dependable, careful work across older-home repairs and renovations. Reviews mention an upstairs conversion, a total home renovation, exterior stairs and decks, window-wall rebuilding, sill and ductwork repairs, and a sliding closet-door repair. Reviewers repeatedly cite problem-solving, communication, cleanup, and finishing work on time; the written reviews span 2010 through 2024, while the platforms report five stars from five Houzz ratings, five stars from two HomeAdvisor ratings, and 4.3 from 56 Thumbtack ratings. Before booking, confirm the exact scope, schedule, and pricing for your project. The profiles describe both small maintenance jobs and large additions or renovations, and Thumbtack lists a Massachusetts construction-supervisor license as verified while Houzz lists license 083906; ask to see current documentation and confirm which portions of a project the team will perform. Jeff is a reasonable fit for homeowners seeking a small-team general contractor for repairs, carpentry, or older-home remodeling in and around Rockport. Share the project details, request a written scope, and verify the license and insurance before work begins.
Jeff quoted us for a few unrelated projects around the house. Two of the three went as planned. In fact, we were impressed that for a bathroom fan replacement, Jeff diagnosed that the problem was not with the fan itself and therefore did not install the replacement he brought with him (nor did he charge us for that part). He resolved an issue with the ductwork instead. He quickly took care of some sill rot related to a second issue. The third (and seemingly simplest) project turned out to be the most difficult. We had a problematic sliding closet door that needed fixing. It turned into one of those sand-pit items - the door frame was not true and the hardware was old. Jeff and Bobby simply would not quit this one. Ultimately they spent a lot of time on it but they got it done - the repair looks nice and works well. We were charged only for what the initial estimate was quoted at. That type of work conduct is called integrity and, end of the day, that's important to us.
jeff and bob have completed several projects at my motel in rockport ma. they are very dependable and their quality of work is excellant.
Jeff did a great job remodeling my upstairs into a rental unit. He is very good at assessing a problem and figuring out a creative way of fixing it, which was required during my project.
Jeff did a great job for me on a total home renovation. My prior contract was not performing well and I needed to replace him. Jeff did a great job in stepping in and completing the project; His attention to detail and excellent craftmanship made all the difference I would absolutely have him do any of my future renovation projects.
Jeff is professional, knowledgeable, and very pleasant to work with.
