Jim's Auto Installations and Detailing Center is an Ipswich, MA shop for vehicles, not houses: its website describes a full suite of automotive services, says it has served the North Shore since 1986, and calls it North Shore Auto Spa. On Google, it holds 4.9 stars from 94 ratings. In a July 2026 review, Jim and his crew detailed a car, interior and exterior. In a December 2025 review, Jim applied a ceramic coating, and the car could then be washed and dried in half the usual time; that customer said he took the time to answer questions and explain things. In an October 2024 review, steps were installed on a 2018 Tacoma, with the installation called fast and professional. A July 2024 review says Jim installed a radio in a truck and tinted the windows on a car.

I cannot recommend Jim and his work highly enough. Before he applied the ceramic coating to my car, I really didn’t know what to expect. He said one benefit I’d notice was how easy the car would be to wash afterwards. He was spot on, the car can be washed and dried in half the amount of time it normally takes. Plus I appreciate that he takes the time to answer questions and explain things; I never get the impression that he is in a rush or too busy to take a couple of minutes for me. Again, I recommend Jim’s Auto Installations and Detailing Center highly and without reservation.

Brought my Nisson Z Proto Spec in to have a small dent located just behind the driver side door handle on the rear quarter panel with instructions to not drill and access holes for the PDR tools. Can’t believe how good it looks, the dent is gone, and the cost was significantly lower than what I was expecting. Thanks again Paul
