A homeowner in February 2025 hesitated to call at all — her front door wouldn't close or lock, and she figured the job was too small for anyone to bother with. Jimmy and Andres came, and kept her posted through the day. That is most of what people have hired Jimmy Handyman Services for: in a December 2023 review a new house lock went in an hour after the call, and one 2023 visit covered cleaned gutters, broken gutters repaired, a resealed tub, a trimmed tree and a replaced doorknob. The Revere outfit — Angi's profile credits it with nine years of experience — takes bigger work too. A 2024 Angi reviewer describes a roughly $15,000 kitchen remodel that started on time and finished ahead of the allotted time; a landlord that year paid about $4,000 for popcorn ceiling texture work, was sent photos and videos as it went, and said the crew respected her tenants. In 2023 another customer had a kitchen ceiling fully replaced and the kitchen floor redone. One job clearly went wrong. In a November 2024 Angi review, a bathroom resurface quoted at one week ran three: tile damaged, an outlet mis-wired with both wires on the incoming side, which meant cutting the circuit breakers, a mess left behind and, the customer wrote, constant supervision needed. Angi's profile says those problems were eventually corrected. A one-star Google review that same month argues that reviews should be honest and that customers want work done correctly and on time. And in April 2026 a caller left one star, saying he phoned for service and was called rude names. Almost all of these accounts were written between 2023 and early 2025, and they lean on small, quick jobs handled by the same two men. For that kind of work — a door, a lock, a gutter, a ceiling patch — the 2023 and 2024 accounts line up. For a bathroom or kitchen that has to come apart, put the schedule and the price in writing first, ask who handles any electrical work and who inspects it, and settle what finished-and-cleaned-up means before anyone starts.
