Common Goal Contracting is built around the job most contractors won't schedule: the two-hour one. A homeowner writing in February 2026 hired them to free frozen shutoff valves so a water filter could go in under the kitchen sink. Another, the same month, had two towel rods and a curtain rod set into the plaster walls of an old house — and came away saying they now had the confidence to do the next one themselves. The company works out of 12 Dolphin Ave in Revere and says on its own site that it handles handyman work, siding, interior and exterior painting, and small jobs across Greater Boston. That site is written in the first person by a single handyperson and names no owner; the reviews consistently name two people, Marisa and Rangel. The jobs run bigger than the small-work pitch suggests. In a December 2024 review, a customer described a studio renovated end to end — insulation, walls, windows, flooring, a new bathroom, a woodstove — and credited the team with trimming costs at each stage. A March 2025 review started as a two-room repaint and ended with the whole condo done. In October 2024 one homeowner had front steps that had been deteriorating through four winters rebuilt in two days, after two earlier quotes came back too high to act on; another had a front-yard fence repaired with materials they called out as good; a third had kitchen counters replaced and rusted metal cabinets fixed and painted. Price is the other thing customers keep returning to — quoted and held, competitive against rival bids, with options explained rather than chosen for them. In a February 2026 review the job came in at the price quoted and the site was cleaned up afterward. The caveat is depth. Twelve reviews, all five stars, all on Google, spanning 2024 to 2026, three of them in the last six months. That is a short written history for a contractor, so read the consistency as encouraging rather than settled, and get the scope in writing for anything past a punch-list. The right call for the small, awkward jobs that are hard to get anyone out for, and for a homeowner who wants to be walked through what is happening.
