JJX Handyman

JJX Handyman is a handyman and property maintenance business. On Angi it describes itself as specializing in home maintenance such as painting, sheetrock and wall repair, plug, light fixture and switch replacement, and fence replacement and repair. In a 2025 Angi review, Louis removed a very large through-the-wall air conditioner, resized the frame for a smaller unit and finished the trim; that customer wrote that he shows up when he says he will and is reasonable with pricing. In another 2025 review, Louis showed up on time, did the work quickly, cleaned up and made sure it worked before leaving. In 2023, Louis repaired a rotted window sill that turned out to have considerable rot underneath, and that customer appreciated the couple of options he gave for fixing it. The same customer wrote that his repair of a damaged storm door was less successful: it does not open and close as smoothly as they would like, the dead bolt holes were not done as professionally as expected, and there was some sloppiness with the caulking around the window. Also in 2023, after a garage door in the style of a barn door ripped off during a windy storm in Manomet, Mass, JJX replied the same day, came within a couple of days to assess it and sent photos showing the problem; the job was done a few weeks later, which that customer said they had no problem with. In 2022, Louis repaired a brick walkway and did a glass window replacement, and in another 2022 review he replaced a dryer vent. A 2023 review describes a window replacement that went over time after the wrong window was ordered. That customer wrote that the window fell in place while waiting for him to come back, that they ended up finding a different person with a broken window and a broken faucet, and that he expected the customer to provide the measurements without double-checking them.
