The homeowner who described that April 2025 job called the crew "professional, precise, punctual and clean" and said the price was reasonable and competitive — and that mix of finish work, tile and a bathroom and small jobs around a house, is what most of the reviews describe. Angi and HomeAdvisor both carry the company as JKN General Construction of Saugus and name Jean as the owner, each showing 5.0 from nine ratings. Between them the two profiles list deck and porch construction and repair, vinyl, linoleum and tile flooring, home renovations, and kitchen and bathroom remodeling. The Thumbtack listing is broader still — handyman work, general contracting, painting inside and out, drywall, masonry, concrete repair, fencing and junk removal. The written reviews run from 2024 into 2025. Two of the longer ones describe a contractor who talks the job through: a March 2025 customer said the suggestions he offered improved how the project turned out and called the work clean and detailed, and a May 2025 homeowner who had several jobs done in and around the house singled out being asked about their own choices before and during the work. Another March 2025 review praised a bathroom finished in what that customer called a minimalist style. In September 2025 a HomeAdvisor customer wrote that the estimate was fair, the job landed inside the quoted time, and everything was left clean. Two things are worth raising before you call. A May 2024 Thumbtack reviewer wrote, "Still waiting for him to finish the job!!!!", and that profile flags a negative review about an unfinished fence — Thumbtack shows a single rating below five stars out of eleven. The Thumbtack page is also the odd one out on identity: it gives a Clinton address rather than Saugus, and its background check is on file under a different name than the Jean the Saugus profiles name. For tile, a backsplash, a bathroom or a deck where you want a say as the work goes — two customers describe exactly that — JKN is a sensible call. Before booking, settle which listing you are actually hiring from and who will be on site, and get the finish date in writing.
