The work runs wider than the name. Painting is the centre — interior and exterior, wallpaper removal, decorative and floor coatings — but the menu also covers drywall hanging and repair, plastering, tile installation, deck staining and sealing, pressure washing and gutter cleaning. In a February 2026 job a homeowner had wallpaper stripped and a living room and stairway repainted after collecting three quotes; they chose JMC and said Darcio does quality work. A December 2025 customer made the same point about money: the price quoted was the price charged, start to finish. The one caveat customers raise is the calendar. An October 2025 reviewer waited six weeks to get a hallway painted, still called the job well done, and recommended him 'as long as you can wait for his services'. On a three-person crew that is the trade-off. The thing to settle before signing anything: Massachusetts shows the company's home improvement contractor registration, number 187693, as expired. Interior-painting-only work is exempt from that registration here, but drywall, plastering, tile and exterior work is not. Ask whether it has been renewed, get the number in writing, and ask for a current certificate of insurance. Two housekeeping mismatches are worth knowing. BBB lists the business at 1461 Princeton Blvd while Porch lists 1361 Pawtucket Blvd, and the tenure claims range from '10+ years of experience' in Darcio's own blurb to 19 years on Thumbtack and Porch and 20 on BBB. Neither changes the workmanship; confirm which address you are contracting with.
