Typical Greater Boston range for this kind of work, from regional averages — not a quote from JML Electric. Use it to sanity-check bids, then get the real number in writing.
Standard receptacle swaps — a new dedicated circuit is a bigger job ($350–$750).
Flush mounts, pendants, chandeliers — hung on existing boxes.

Count the reviews that mention an EV charger and you have most of JML Electric's written history: Juicebox 48s, level 2 units, 240-volt lines run out to detached garages. Whatever else this Wakefield shop does, that is what its customers wrote about. The licence checks out. Massachusetts lists electrician registration 20345 as active, held of record by John Michael Lopriore. BuildZoom additionally lists master, journeyman and business-licence records for the company and a New Hampshire master licence — those are the directory's own claims, not something confirmed against a registry. What people keep describing is the work done before the install. In March 2023 a customer wrote about an outdoor Juicebox 48 tied into a new basement subpanel, priced under three competing electricians, installed within a week of signing, drywall patched afterwards, and a load-balance calculation run on their two-family so the building would pass inspection. In May 2021 another described a 200-amp service upgrade brought to code with the old panel cleaned up, plus help claiming the EV rebates. In April 2021 a customer noted John was the only electrician who came out to look at the job rather than quoting off photos in an app. Two things to raise. That same March 2023 reviewer, happy overall, said the City of Cambridge inspection paperwork dragged and they had to chase the company for weeks to get it sorted — worth agreeing up front who files what. And an October 2022 customer paid a little above a couple of competing quotes, though they felt the work justified it. The written history also runs 2018 to March 2023 and stops there, so the 4.9 average across 24 Angi ratings — the same 24 HomeAdvisor publishes, since one listing mirrors the other — describes the early 2020s rather than this year. Right call for a north-of-Boston homeowner putting in a home charger or upgrading a panel to carry one. Settle who handles the permit and inspection scheduling, and pin down the rebate paperwork before work starts.
John did a great job with my outdoor Juicebox 48 installation with basement subpanel. I am really happy with it. He had very competitive pricing against 3 other electricians and had the the charger installed within one week of me signing. He showed up on time for the install, was professional and patched up all the drywall he could after the job. He also did a load balance calculation for our building (we live in a two family) to check capacity and make sure we would pass inspection. Getting the inspection itself completed through the City of Cambridge did take a LOT longer than I thought it would and I had to bug him for a few weeks to sort out the paperwork, but once it was scheduled and the inspector arrived it was quick. Overall my experience was great and would definitely work with him again.
Great work.
Great overall experience.
From the original response to my request for a quote, to the prompt visit, to the actual quote and scheduling for the work, to the actual installation of the EV level 2 charger, JML Electric delivered with the utmost professionalism and care. Highly recommended. Thank you!
JML installed a juice box ev charger for us. They had to work around some previous work that required modifications. Excellent quality and timeliness. Very happy with work and workers. Would highly recommend
