Jo Carpentry Finish

Jo Carpentry Finish is a small Massachusetts carpentry shop focused on finish work, framing, decks and cabinetry. Thumbtack lists one employee, two years in business and a background check; BuildZoom places J Finish Carpentry Inc in Watertown and lists the same hands-on mix. Two five-star reviews describe the work. In December 2024, a Thumbtack customer wrote, "Very good work"; in May 2020, a BuildZoom customer described a deck built by Gabriel and Jay as hard-working, detailed and a project they were thrilled with. There is one important item to settle before booking: BuildZoom lists carpenter license #197687 as inactive, with an expiration date of January 14, 2022. Confirm the current Massachusetts licensing position and that the Watertown BuildZoom profile is the same business as the Malden Thumbtack pro. The company is a plausible fit for finish carpentry, framing, decks or cabinet work, but the written review history is small and dated. Ask for current license documentation, recent project references and a written scope before work begins.
