John F. Noons has been doing site work, septic and trucking jobs out of North Truro for three generations, by its own account, with Jeff, Linda and Dave showing up by name across the reviews. The company also runs a state vehicle inspection bay and sells bulk stone, sand and loam out of the same North Truro yard, and says on its site that it is a women-owned business. On the septic and site side, the pattern across Google's 32 reviews holds together. In a 2023 review, a homeowner who'd had a complete septic system installed said the office, run by Linda, "kept me apprised every step of the way." Another needed a steep driveway regraded — Jeff brought in ABC stone, and a 2023 review said two months later it held up "as solid as if paved with asphalt." A harbor club member described in a 2025 review how Noons pulls their docks out every fall and resets them each spring, working around the weather when needed. One customer, in a 2023 review, said the crew hand-hauled material to carve a 1,000-square-foot dog park into a yard their truck couldn't reach. The most recent review, posted this month, is a bare five stars — thin, but consistent with the rest. The rough patch shows up on the other side of the business. Two reviews from 2024 describe curt, even rude treatment getting a car or truck through the inspection bay — one recounts a nearly two-hour wait and being told to "back up, I didn't tell you to come in." Nobody describing septic pumping, installs or grading work reported anything like that; both complaints trace to the inspection line, not the contracting side. Noons isn't BBB-accredited and the BBB lists it as Not Rated, though its file shows the company incorporated in 2003 with five employees. This is a reasonable call for septic pumping, Title V inspections and installs, driveway grading, land clearing and other outer-Cape site work — that side of the business gets specific, consistent praise across years.
