Johnny Prescott delivers heating oil and propane, and its website says New Hampshire households and businesses have relied on it for more than 80 years. The website names Concord as its service area. A recent customer said a yearly inspection turned up a significant problem with the boiler, the technician showed it to them when he opened it up, and the company replaced pretty much the entire system on a quote that customer called fair. A recent customer who needed a boiler replacement said the company redid the system for almost half what competitors were charging. A 2026 customer said the company had serviced the house since 1989 and in 37 years had never let them run out. A 2025 customer said the company got the furnace running in less than 2 hours from the call and wrote that Matt was great. A 2025 customer new to heating oil said the delivery technician found a broken gauge and a disconnect with the furnace, explained everything, and made sure it was working before leaving. A 2025 customer said the company arrived within 20 minutes on Christmas Eve when a pump failed. A 2025 customer said the company had replaced their oil furnace and oil tank. A 2022 customer renting a house said the company refused to deliver to them as new tenants.

All of the Johnny Prescott trucks came to my house!!!!!! Seriously. This is why you have your boiler and heating system inspected each year. During the inspection, the technician showed me the VERY OBVIOUS and significant problem with my boiler when he opened it up. I spoke with the folks in the office a few days later about the best replacement options for our family. The price was for replacement of pretty much the entire system, but the system needed replacing. The work was absolutely necessary, the quote was fair, the work was friendly, professional, clean, and Johnny Prescott just continues to be the best. And in very short order, this amazing fleet of Johnny Prescott trucks and its amazing group of people solved our problem. Thank you.
I've had Johnny Prescott for 20 years (since I bought the house) and they serviced this house since the original owner built it in 1989. In 37 years, they have NEVER let us run out or had any issues with their service -delivery, service and customer service.
Very frustrating experience with Prescott and Son Oil today. We had planned a delivery as we were out of oil and recently installed a new oil tank. We were never told when the oil was delivered nor that there was a problem with delivery until after the office was closed- and we called at 1PM to check on the status of the delivery! The problem is entirely fixable and would’ve been fixed today if we had only been communicated with. When we finally heard from John, he was short and stated he “didn’t have time” to help us. They didn’t deliver any oil and charged us the full amount. Needless to say, we will be changing to another oil company.
Timely delivery! We are new to area and this is our first experience with heating oil. When delivery technician discovered broken gauge and disconnect with furnace, he went above and beyond to explain everything and to make sure everything was working satisfactory before leaving. Honest, friendly service. Will definitely use again.
