A crew turned up at 8:15 to repair and paint a kitchen and dining room ceiling and was gone by 11:15, having left their shoes on the front steps and covered everything in plastic and drop cloths first. That was May 2025, and small courtesies like it run all the way through what customers write about Jose's Painting & Construction. The company works out of South Easton across interior and exterior painting, carpentry, power washing and light renovation, and says it has been in business 25 years. Jose handles the quoting himself: a January 2023 customer inquired online and had an answer from him inside ten minutes, and a 2023 homeowner got colour suggestions, a walk-through of the quote and then a spot on the rain-day list that moved the work up by months. The jobs get bigger than paint. In October 2022 a homeowner had siding pulled off, bare areas shingled, new trim cut and fitted around the windows, and then the whole house painted. A May 2022 exterior job included carpentry for water damage and dry rot. A 2022 customer with a complicated exterior had separate teams for carpentry, power washing, interior and exterior paint, and the company arranged the dumpster. In October 2025 a couple with serious trim damage on a 33-year-old house called after seeing Jose's signs on projects around them. Two accounts run the other way, both from 2025. In May a homeowner wrote that Jose was late to the walk-through, the estimate never arrived and the calls went unreturned. In March another customer dropped an earlier five-star review to three: the kitchen, dining and living rooms came out excellent, but the bathroom took four return visits, with edging left unfinished and poor paint work. Against that, an August 2025 customer with problems on an exterior job wrote that the crew came out twice, free and without argument, and a 2023 customer said they will not hand you a bill until you are happy — the company's own site says payment is due only on completion. For an interior repaint, an exterior that needs scraping and rot repair before a brush touches it, or paint with carpentry underneath, this is a deep bench that shows up and cleans up. Walk the job at the end and write the punch list down before the final payment, paying attention to bathrooms and trim edges.
