Joseph Services

Joseph Services is a Braintree, Massachusetts business self-reporting handyman and moving work, listed on Thumbtack with contact Atef Hamdi and 7 years in business. In a July 2024 review signed 'Atef H.' — the same name as the business's own background-checked contact — a customer described the moving crew as quick, careful, and professional. Two other 2024 reviews describe a different experience: an August 2024 review said a promised 3-person crew arrived two hours late with only two workers, made jokes about strangling the customer and holding her belongings for ransom, and asked for more than the agreed hourly rate; a September 2024 review said the movers did not complete the work and expected payment upfront. The business's own replies to both negative reviews dispute the customers' accounts. Given the apparent name match on the sole positive review and two detailed, dated complaints, homeowners should confirm crew size, hourly rate, and payment terms in writing before booking.
