Jack Panneton takes the job you think is too small to call anyone about. A homeowner in October 2024 wanted two rotted boards swapped out of his deck and assumed it was beneath a handyman's time; Jack did it that week. Another needed a cabinet shifted above the refrigerator. A third, in November 2025, had a new mailbox installed and a dishwasher mount that had been troubling him for months fixed on the same visit. He also builds the larger thing: in October 2025 he tore one customer's deck down and rebuilt it, and rebuilt another's front and rear steps along with the supports under the front deck. He works out of Tyngsborough and started the business in 2021 after finishing college, while also working as an engineer; Ed Panneton, credited with more than forty years of carpentry and building experience, is named on the site as construction consultant. Three things come up in nearly every account: he calls back, he turns up when he said he would, and the price quoted is the price. A March 2025 customer with a broken pantry door track said the measurement and estimate came back quickly and the work was meticulous. In May 2024 a customer whose tiles needed trimming said he took them home to cut them down properly rather than leave the job half right. The range is wide for one man with a van: custom cabinets and framing for the mirrors in a Nashua gym's posing room in January 2026, a bathroom ceiling fan, new bannisters and railings, a half-bath and laundry room remodelled, a reclaimed-wood accent wall, two screen doors, a storm door after a winter storm, garage door trim, and a hole in a wall that a 2024 customer said was undetectable three days later. Two paperwork points to settle before you hire. The active Massachusetts home improvement contractor registration, number 205684, is held at the state registry under JP Handyman & Home Improvement LLC, while the company's own website trades as JP Decks & Carpentry — same address, same phone, same owner, so expect a contract in the LLC's name. And that registration was issued in June 2026, though the business says it has been operating since 2021. For a punch list, a deck, or the carpentry jobs nobody else will bid on, he is an easy call; get the quote in writing and the registration number on the contract.

I recently hired Jack to install a new mailbox and fix a tricky issue with my dishwasher mount that had been giving me trouble for a while. JP was prompt, communicative, professional and very capable. He solved all of my household repairs. I highly recommend this company!
Jack did a great job with rebuilding the front and rear steps of our house, as well as replacing the supports for our front deck. Extremely professional and courteous, and highly-skilled as well. Pricing was fair and the work was done as described. We couldn't be happier!
I couldn’t be happier with the work Jack did on my deck. He tore it down and rebuilt it and the result is an amazing deck. From start to finish, he was extremely professional, showing up on time or early, kept the work area clean and completed everything right on schedule. His attention to detail and work ethic really set him apart and I look forward to hiring him for future projects.
