Paving/Gardens/Hardscape/Excavation/Sidewalk: Just the Best We are an older couple living in a fairly spacious house in Lynn. Over the years we have lived here, we have had considerable work done on the house -- painting, carpentry, landscaping, and a complete kitchen remodel. We have generally been very satisfied with the people who have done the work for us -- but our most recent experience has been, hands-down, the best work we have ever had done. We had to write a review. Elio Nolasco is the President of JR Construction. We needed a variety of exterior work done, involving garden restructuring, sidewalk demolition, the pouring of asphalt, and the purchase and installation of a brick walkway. We had three different organizations come in to discuss the work and to supply us with bids. Before the third company had even provided us with a bid, Elio's offer had been accepted, and he had sent to us the hardest-working man we have ever known. Within two days, he had completed the refurbishing of our back garden, he had broken up and repaved (and power-washed!) an entire front-to-back sidewalk, and excavated, purchased, delivered, and installed a complete entry sidewalk. Again -- a checklist of tasks that we expected would take a team a number of days was completed almost entirely by his right-hand man. The cost was less than we had budgeted -- and it was finished and cleaned up with extraordinary care. We have had a number of really excellent companies work for us. We have some connections in the design trade, so we have been fortunate with all of our employees. But Elio and his company are just the very best we have ever used. On budget, on time, no "We'll try to be back next week." It was finished, complete and cleaned up in two days. We are deeply indebted to Elio and his team -- and cannot recommend them more highly.

We spoke with 5 different contractors before finding VJR Nolasco's through Thumbtack. From the very beginning Elio seemed genuine and was able to answer all my questions and also provided some suggestions for our project. I appreciated his responsiveness, attention to detail, and how quickly everything came together. Most companies were estimating 3-8 weeks to start our patio and fire pit. VJR was able to come out for a walk through and then complete the work the next day!!! On top of the impressive turnaround and fair price, the final product shows that Elio and team take pride in their work and we couldn't be more happy!
