That February 2026 job is the clearest picture of what JZ4S Construction does: a homeowner described the ceiling and wall put back and repainted so it looked better than before, named Jessica, Jose and Luis as the people they dealt with, and called the pricing competitive and the timeline fast. The company works out of Chelsea and says it is eight years old and locally owned, specialising in painting and carpentry. Around that core sit the trades that go with them — drywall installation and repair, plaster, texture and popcorn-ceiling removal, wallpaper stripping, cabinet refinishing, deck staining, finish carpentry and lead paint removal. Its stated service area runs across 48 towns from Boston out to Marblehead, Swampscott and Salem, and one of its two project galleries was photographed in Marblehead. The honest limit is how little is written down. There are two reviews in total, on one platform. The second, from October 2017, comes from an architecture firm describing itself as a repeat trade partner rather than a customer — and it praises a different company by name, JB Painting and Construction Corp, on a date that sits before this company's own stated eight-year history. Whatever the relationship between the two names, that review is not an account of a JZ4S homeowner job, and it should not be read as one. So the whole current record is a single homeowner review from February 2026. No licence number appears anywhere on its listing either, and Massachusetts requires a home improvement contractor registration for this kind of work — painting alone is exempt, but drywall, plaster and carpentry are not. For a small repair-and-repaint job this is a reasonable call, especially with a recent customer speaking well of the crew by name. Ask for the registration number and check it with the state, and ask for two or three more recent references before anything larger.
