The range runs wider than bathrooms. Permits from 2014 through January 2023 also cover siding replacement, window swaps, a walk-in closet build, an unheated storage area converted to living space, and two commercial jobs in Danvers. The one job outside its home town worth flagging is a $62,500 kitchen remodel in Marblehead permitted in November 2021 — cabinets and two walls out, new cabinets and flooring in. What is missing is any homeowner's account. BuildZoom states it has received no reviews for the company, so there is nothing written by anyone who actually hired them. The licensing picture needs a direct answer before you go further. BuildZoom flags the profile with an alert reading "No active license on file", and the one licence record it holds comes back "Unable To Verify" — the site says it could not confirm it with the licensing board. In Massachusetts, nonstructural residential home improvement work requires registration with the Office of Consumer Affairs, and structural work requires a licensed construction supervisor. So: a builder with a long, specific and verifiable local permit trail, and an unresolved licensing question. Ask directly for the HIC registration number and the construction supervisor licence number, check both with the state yourself, and ask for the names of a few recent Danvers or Marblehead customers.
