Kaplan Painting has been Bob Kaplan's business since he launched it in Hull in 1993, and by his own account he's still on-site with his crew rather than just sending a team out. In 2016 he added a second line, Kaplan Handyman Services, for repairs and smaller home projects. The company is a member of the Hull Chamber of Commerce and says it covers the South Shore, from Weymouth and Braintree down through Marshfield and Scituate. On Google, Kaplan holds a 4.4-star average across 14 ratings, and the one detailed review on file is a positive one. That's not much written history for a company that says it's three decades in — the star average carries most of the weight here, since there isn't a deeper public track record to check it against. Nothing negative turns up among the ratings, but with so little third-party detail beyond that average, it's worth asking Kaplan directly for a couple of recent local references before committing to a larger painting or repair job.
