The business works out of 56 Riverdale St in Boston and the owner is James Libby, who shows up in these accounts as Jimmy, Jim and James — nine of the fifteen name him directly. BuildZoom, where the company is listed as Justbo Building Co, lists a Massachusetts home improvement contractor registration, #194899, and a construction supervisor licence, #CS-087010, for him; Thumbtack lists that same construction supervisor number. The painting is where the detail runs deepest. In August 2026 a customer had a historical apartment done top to bottom — 13-foot ceilings, crown, base, louvered doors and significant patchwork — and praised how carefully the team set up. Another August 2026 review covers living-room walls and a ceiling, with some kitchen wall work added, finished quickly and on budget. In a March 2026 review, an office client described going from white to navy, with James helping settle the color at the consultation. The non-painting work is real, and it sits further back. A condo association wrote in 2022 that the crew stripped and re-sided a section of their building with cedar shingles and finished a day ahead of schedule. A 2024 Thumbtack reviewer had a house exterior painted and half a square of shingles replaced in a few days. A 2021 customer noted he showed up on time and cleaned up at the end of the day, and a 2020 Angi reviewer said he made sure the work was approved before final payment. One thing to sort out on the phone: how long the company has actually been at this. Angi and its HomeAdvisor mirror both list seven years of experience, while Thumbtack's page says over 30 years in the bio text and carries a separate 45-years-in-business badge. For interior and exterior painting around Boston — especially tall-ceiling, trim-heavy older housing stock — this is a straightforward call, and the same crew has handled siding and carpentry. Ask for the extras that tend to get added mid-job, the patching and the cabinet hanging, to be priced in the original quote; the customer who had his mother's house painted in June 2026 said costs were clear and upfront from the start.
