Kenneth Pacheco General Carpentry, Inc. is a Fall River contractor serving Southeastern Massachusetts and Rhode Island, with general contracting, remodeling, additions, new construction, roofing, siding, carpentry, and related work. The company says it was established in 1993, is licensed and insured in Massachusetts and Rhode Island, and is an approved Cedar Shake & Shingle Bureau installer. The customer record is mixed. Recent reviews praise roof and gutter work, deck rebuilding, responsiveness, cleanliness, and a clear proposal, while other recent and older reviews report communication, completion, workmanship, water intrusion, and repair problems. A 2025 review praised a large deck rebuild, but a 2024 review criticized communication and timely completion, and a 2021 review described a costly door failure; older BuildZoom reviews also report poor or unfinished work. The company has an active Massachusetts HIC record and 27 BuildZoom projects, but prospective customers should verify both state licenses, insurance, references for comparable work, payment milestones, written change orders, and the warranty or punch-list process before booking. This may fit homeowners seeking a broad renovation or exterior project who are prepared to use detailed contracts and active progress checks.

Purchased a "Pacheco" new construction home in Fall River 2011. Don't be fooled and thinking that it's a new house, what problems could I have... Here is a list. Basement leaks, floor and walls. Not properly sealed and no sump pump. Dryer venting. Used 4" steel venting and used 6 90's in a 10' run. Electrical. Used 20amp breakers, 15amp plugs and 14/2 wiring not 12/2. 12/2 is a thicker wire that should be used with 20amp circuits. Sheetrock. When the sun shines in your home and you can see every sheet rock screw sticking out because they were not sunk properly. I dealt with nightmare myself and can't tell you what it is like to dig the plaster out of every screw head and sink the screws properly. Then the patching, sanding and painting. Roof. No fire and ice used on roof. Did not properly vent the roof. No ridge vent just soffit vents. This caused the plywood to rot and need to be replaced also. Roof and plywood lasted 14years. Windows and doors. Had Anderson Renewal replace the windows and doors. When I was shown the insulation or lack of... I don't have time for a full list. I have done 3 Google reviews in my life, this is not something I take lightly. Be warned. Stay away. Or get a home inspection for your "New" home. Maybe two inspections. I hope this honest review will save others from the waste of time, money and aggravation. Thanks to all the good contractors that I used to fix all the issues. It's nice to work with people who take "PRIDE" in their work. FYI All the issues are not from normal wear and tear over time. Just poor workmanship. KPS......
