BuildZoom describes Kerigan's Fuel as a Bridgeport, Connecticut company that delivers heating oil to homeowners and property managers. A 2025 customer said Jim and his crew swapped out both their oil tank and their parents' tank: within 24 hours of finding the 30+ year tanks leaking, he was at both properties with a quick proposal, the crew was ready to start the next day, and each job was done the same day. A customer said the company replaced a leaky indoor oil tank with a new outdoor tank using overhead lines, after which the furnace and water heater burners began locking up and shutting down. That customer traced the problem to air locks in the oil line, said the company offered no help when called, and fixed it by installing two Tigerloops. A 2025 customer said Jim and his team removed an old oil tank and put a new one in the basement, and described the pricing as fair. A 2022 customer said Jim's crew got an old oil tank out of the ground and that they planned to use the company for boiler service and fuel. Its BBB page is an A+. A 2021 customer said the company handled the whole job from the quote through the new tank installation, the old tank removal and the site remediation.
Extremely disappointed with this company. They replaced my leaky indoor oil tank with a new outdoor tank utilizing overhead lines. Shortly after, both my furnace and water heater burners began randomly locking up and shutting down. I spent thousands of dollars on multiple technician visits trying to diagnose the issue through frustrating trial and error. Ultimately, I had to do extensive research myself to find the root cause: the new configuration was causing severe oil line air locks and fuel starvation. When I called this company to explain the issue, their "professionals" were absolutely clueless and offered no help. I ended up solving the problem myself by installing two Tigerloops (oil deaerators), which instantly fixed the issue. It is shocking that a specialized tank removal and installation company doesn't understand basic oil line dynamics. Many reputable companies refuse to install top-drawn tanks without a Tigerloop because they know fuel starvation will occur. Save yourself thousands of dollars in diagnostic fees and go with a company that actually understands the mechanics of what they are installing.
Jim and his team removed an old oil tank and put a new one in the basement. They really know their stuff. They are professional, fair pricing and very knowledgeable. I would highly recommend them to anyone who needs an oil tank removed or put in. LK
Love these guys. Jim and his crew swapped out both mine and my parents oil tanks within the last 3 months and we both couldn’t be happier with our experiences. Within 24 hours of us both discovering that our 30+ year tanks were leaking (both leaks under control and we said it was not urgent during our calls) he was at our properties offering insight and a quick proposal. Pricing was very fair, and his crew was ready to get started next day. They were all so polite, very friendly, accommodating, and professional. All done same day, and they hustled. They cleaned up the job site and everything looks/works awesome. I’ve been burned by so many trades, contractors, etc over the years, I had to give these guys well-deserved recognition. I’d recommend them to anyone! Thanks again, Jim.
Jim is really nice. His crew is respectful so it was a seamless job to get my old oil tank out of the ground. In fact, I’m going to use Kerrigan for boiler service and fuel.
Excellent oil tank remediation company. Strongly recommend them. Did the complete job from quote, new oil tank installation, oil tank removal and site remediation. They know their stuff are reasonably priced and family owned. They stand behind their family name.
